About the GMAT

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is an exam by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) that is used for graduate admissions to business schools. Learn more about the GMAT on the GMAC GMAT Page.

GMAT Exam Format

The GMAT Exam is divided four sections, which cover analytical writing, integrated reasoning, quantitative skills, and verbal skills. At its onset, the exam presents students with questions of a difficulty that increases for correct answers, and decreases for incorrect answers. The order in which sections of the exam are taken can be decided by students before the exam begins.
